Wildland Fire Fighting
- With the standard WATERAX VERSAX® 6 high-pressure fire pump rated at 120 PSI/105 GPM and the 1" Kochek 10-24 GPM selectable aluminum NFPA fire nozzle (sprays up to 65'), the Defender XD provides excellent fire attack capabilities (larger capacity nozzle and pump accessories are available)!
Water Drafting/Hauling
- The greatest challenge with fire fighting is the lack of water - so we addressed that. The Defender XD comes standard with a 12' x 2" Draft/Discharge hose and strainer. This allows you to use the onboard fire pump, suction hose, and strainer to quickly refill the tank - getting you back on the fire within minutes!
Prescribed Burning
- The standard 100' x 1" Kochek lightweight booster hose with NH couplings, 1" Kochek 10-24 GPM selectable aluminum NFPA fire nozzle (sprays up to 65'), and hose reel work great for prescribed burning and single person operation!
Equipment Washing
- With the standard WATERAX VERSAX® 6-Series 120 PSI high-pressure pump, 1" lightweight booster hose, and 10-24 GPM selectable nozzle, the Defender XD has great volume and pressure for washing of equipment, trailers, or anything else!
